Healthy Foods That Help Burn Fats
We all know that obesity is reaching epidemic proportions around the world.
Healthy foods
are becoming all the more essential in our daily lives. Because of the variety of unhealthy foods, coupled with a sedentary lifestyle, people are getting bigger and bigger. The best way to fight this problem is through education and prevention. We need to
educate our children
about the risks of obesity and teach them how to find the right food to eat.
Exercise
is a good way of losing excess weight and keeping fit. However, exercise without eating healthy is like lifting weights made of paper. You won’t get the desired results. Exercise and
healthy eating
should come together, in order to effectively control your health and weight. Now, we keep hearing about foods that are healthy, what are they, exactly? Healthy foods are foods that provide the right nutrients that our body needs. Every day our body consumes vitamins and minerals in order to function properly. These vitamins and minerals need to be replaced through eating foods that are full of them. Take note of the saying, “you are what you eat”. The following are five fat burning foods that can help prevent obesity. * Grass-fed beef – I bet you are shocked to know that beef is good for you. This is not your normal supermarket beef, I’m afraid. Yes, a lot of people think that red meat is bad for your health, but I’m not one of them. What you need to know is that the health of the animal greatly affects how nutritional the meat is for human consumption. Know this, “an unhealthy animal equals unhealthy meat, however, a healthy animal equals healthy meat”. Beef that is found in your local grocery is mostly raised on a grain diet. Grain is not the natural food of cattle. As a matter of fact, grain diet can change the chemical balance of fats and other nutrients in the beef. Grain-fed beef has high omega-6 fatty acids, whereas, grass-fed beef has high omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 is good, omega-6 is bad. * Avocados – although avocados are believed to be a fatty food, it’ all healthy fats however. That is why this is one of the healthy foods. Avocados are high in mono-unsaturated fat, micro-nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. * Whole eggs – eggs (egg whites and egg yolk) are healthy foods. Eggs are the best source of protein. Egg yolks have the highest concentration (90% to be exact) of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. * Nuts – almost all kinds of nuts like almonds, macadamia, pecans, and walnuts. These nuts are great fat burning foods. It is a fatty food that can actually help you get rid of excess fat. Yes they are fatty, in terms ratio, but they are also a good source of protein and fiber, which, as we all know, is good for losing weight. * Berries – raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, etc. are great healthy foods. They are packed with nutrients that our body needs, including fiber. Berries are the best source of antioxidants. These are just a few of the healthy foods out there. These foods are great fat burning foods. If you can incorporate them in your diet, they might just help you stay healthy and fit. Remember, exercising regularly coupled with eating healthy results in a mighty fine figure.
